Prevention of Endemic Disease (Malaria)

Community Directed Intervention (CDI) in Santa and Wum Health Districts

Malaria is becoming the number one killer disease in Cameroon. PVC intervenes in Santa health district to reduce the prevalent rate of malaria in children below 05 years and pregnant women.
We distribute mosquito nets, Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits, Essential Drugs, brachial parameters etc. to facilitate the scaling up of malaria control in the communities.
From our interventions, about 90% of the population of Santa now sleep under the treated mosquito nets and this has greatly reduced the prevalent rate of malaria.
